About Be-Rocket

Interdisciplinary engineering collaboration for international rocketry competitions.

What is Be-Rocket?

Be-Rocket is the Belgian inter-university student rocketry team (founded in 2023), uniting engineering students from KU Leuven, ULB, VUB, ULiège, UMons, RMA (KMS), and UAntwerpen. The team designs, builds, and launches high-power sounding rockets to compete at international competitions like the European Rocketry Challenge (EuRoC) in Portugal.

Team Goals & Projects:


  • EuRoC 3000 m Category: Competing in Portugal with Bossart-II, powered by a custom Student Researched and Developed (SRAD) hybrid propulsion system.

  • Flight Heritage (Bossart-I): Test rocket launched in October 2024, reaching an apogee of 1475 m to validate systems.

  • CanSat Belgium: Developing an unguided rocket platform to deploy student satellite payloads at apogee.
